Advisory Board
ASEAC has an advisory board consisting of a Chairperson, two Deputy Chairpersons as well as up to twelve additional members. It is augmented by the ASEAA Board.
The composition of the Advisory Board reflects the different regions and organisations of the world with particular interest in the aims and objectives of ASEAC. It consists of experts in the field of arbitration and/or management of arbitration proceedings. The members of the Advisory Board are elected by the shareholders’ meeting of ASEAC.
The Advisory Board advises ASEAC on all aspects of the institutional management of arbitration. It further decides on the inclusion of arbitrators in the list of arbitrators and the appointment of members of the Appointing Authority in accordance with Art. 1 and 2 of the Statutes. In addition, it advises ASEAC on all aspects of operative business.
The Advisory Board neither comments on substantive matters of arbitration proceedings nor does it take any active part in the decisions on the substance of a case.
